About Andrea...

     From an early age, I was inspired by the palette of cultural exchange, and social behavior. As an Ecuadorian working in theater production in UK and France, my experiences were charged with emotion, and, as an artist, I have channeled those energies onto raw canvases. 

     As I walk through life, colors have constantly grabbed my attention and influence my mood. I have always been attracted to the power of color and how the same object can be perceived differently according to the scheme. All of these have drawn me closer to connect with my artwork concept and inspiration as an abstract painter.

     It is the journey, not the destination, that best describes my work. It is the process of what I do and how I do it, and not what it is. Similar as ‘process art’ which emphasizes the process, the energy and the movement of artistic creation rather than the actual finished work that is produced from it.

     My aim is to express a subjective sense of feelings through colors, projecting that to the audience creating a personalized experience. I push the audience to realize that reality is not absolute. Viewer`s perception towards my art, can varied according to what the person has experienced...seen and felt during the past; its culture, background and life exposure.
